James Wardlaw
Advisory Director
James joined Campbell Lutyens in 2011 and was a Partner until he stepped down from his full-time role in 2020 whereupon he became an Advisory Director.
In addition to being a member of the Advisory Board of Campbell Lutyens, James Wardlaw is a Senior Adviser/Advisory Board member of several other firms active in infrastructure: QIC, BlackRock Infrastructure Solutions, Navigare Capital Partners and Asper Investment Management . He is also Deputy Chair of the Hyde Group, which owns and manages around 120,000 homes across the UK.
His prior professional life at different times has included building the infrastructure practice at Campbell Lutyens, leading for HMTreasury on the major infrastructure projects in the UK, advising the UK Regulators Network, membership of the Infrastructure Investment Committee at Federated Hermes and 23 years as a financing banker at Goldman Sachs, Merrill Lynch and SGWarburg. He was included in both of PEI Infrastructure Investor’s ‘Rainmaker 20’ lists, in 2019 and 2022, of the top global capital raisers in infrastructure.
