Campbell Lutyens Infrastructure Partner James Wardlaw has been appointed to a panel of four expert advisors to the UK Regulators Network. The UK Regulators Network has been formed by the Chief Executives of all the UK economic regulators, including Ofgem, Ofwat, the CAA and the ORR.

James joins Dame Colette Bowe (Chair), Chris Bolt and Professor Catherine Waddams on the panel. The advisors will review and challenge the UK Regulators Network’s work:

  • Providing a cross-sector voice to UKRN independent of any sectoral interest
  • Acting as critical friend to the UKRN, including to identify opportunities for optimal cross-sector working and challenge regulators to deliver on those opportunities
  • Encouraging regulators to ensure that cross-sector outcomes are reflected in decision making for each sector, particularly considering the need both to protect consumers and create a positive environment for efficient investment
  • Promoting an ambitious agenda of joint work

UKRN Chair Richard Price said, “I am very pleased that we will have Chris, Colette, Catherine and James’ input to UKRN’s work. They will bring an important independent view and ensure that we pursue an ambitious programme of work across sectors.”
