Campbell Lutyens raises $155,000 for COVID-19 focused charities
Campbell Lutyens has raised $155,000 in just under a month to support charities on the frontlines addressing the COVID-19 crisis globally.
The funds, which were donated and raised by employees and their families, and matched by the firm, are going to support Direct Relief, Citymeals on Wheels, City Harvest and the NHS.
The charities were selected by Campbell Lutyens’ employees and reflect the firm’s history of, and commitment to, fundraising for causes globally.
Direct Relief is coordinating with public health authorities, non-profit organizations and businesses globally to provide personal protective equipment and essential medical items to health workers responding to COVID-19.
Citymeals on Wheels is working on the frontlines of the Covid-19 outbreak in New York to ensure homebound elderly, who are too frail to shop or cook for themselves, have nutritious meals and wellness check-ins during the public health crisis.
City Harvest is collecting and distributing food to organisations that feed the vulnerable in London, including homeless shelters, soup kitchens, children's programs, centres for the elderly, and refuges for women experiencing domestic violence.
Funds raised for the NHS in the UK will be used to support the wellbeing of NHS staff, including buying personal protective equipment, providing sustenance for those working long shifts, or other supplies as needed.
