Campbell Lutyens is pleased to announce that Jintae Kim has joined as a Managing Director in its Seoul office, with a focus on relationships with institutional investors across Korea.

Prior to joining Campbell Lutyens, Jintae spent ten years at Korea Investment Corporation (KIC) – the country’s sovereign wealth fund – where he served as the Global Head of the Private Equity Group. Before appointment to this position, he also held numerous other roles within KIC including Head of Absolute Returns Group, Head of CEO’s Office, and oversight of the European public equity portfolio from its London office.

Before joining KIC, Jintae was a Portfolio Manager at Midas Asset Management in Seoul and also worked for Goldman Sachs Asset Management in Seoul. He has a master’s degree in finance from London Business School, a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Sogang University and is a CFA charterholder.

Richard von Gusovius, Partner, Co-head of Global Private Credit and Head of Sales for Europe, the Middle East and Asia-Pacific, said:

“Naturally, we are delighted to welcome Jintae to the team, bringing with him a wealth of experience from across the industry.

“This experience, combined with his in-depth knowledge of the investment landscape in Korea, will only strengthen Campbell Lutyens’ offering to new and existing clients across the country.”

Campbell Lutyens’ presence in APAC now spans five offices – namely Hong Kong, Singapore, Tokyo, Seoul, and the recently opened Melbourne – supporting the growth of its fund placement, secondary advisory and GP capital advisory business across the region.

Campbell Lutyens has built a market-leading position in APAC over this period, with the team having raised or advised on more than $23 billion [USD] in fund placement and secondary advisory transactions over the last five years.
