Infrastructure team secures Global Placement Agent of the Year, as well as regional awards for EMEA, APAC and Americas

Campbell Lutyens, the world’s leading independent private capital advisor, has received industry recognition as Placement Agent of the Year in every category – Global, EMEA, APAC and Americas – at the annual IJGlobal Investor Awards 2025.

The independent judging panel commended Campbell Lutyens as “a perennial heavyweight across categories and structures.” The infrastructure team was praised for demonstrating depth across practice areas during the review period (12 months to 31 July 2025), as well as breadth of experience and engagement across the capital raising lifecycle. In North America judges noted that Campbell Lutyens’ “impact in facilitating capital commitments into infrastructure funds, connecting GP supply with LP demand, far exceeds their next competitor.”

Campbell Lutyens’ dedicated infrastructure platform operates across primary fundraising, the secondary market and GP Capital Advisory, and has global coverage of over 1,000 LPs through its extensive network. The GP Capital Advisory team acts as a trusted advisor to founders, CEOs and leadership teams for their most critical management committee decisions, including majority and minority stakes (buy-side and sell-side), valuations and succession planning.

Gordon Bajnai, CEO of Campbell Lutyens and Global Head of Infrastructure and Energy Transition, said: “Our infrastructure practice has been recognised as a global leader for multiple years in a row, and we are very proud of that. We strive to be the partner of choice to help GPs and LPs to achieve strategic objectives and landmark transactions - whether scaling platforms, enhancing liquidity, or reallocating capital. I thank the team for their efforts, thought leadership and focus on client success.”

Highlights during the review period included:

  • Advising Pioneer Point Partners on the fundraise of its second vintage, which closed at an extended hard cap of €1.1bn, above the original €800m target
  • Acted as financial advisor to TPG on its acquisition of Peppertree, a U.S.-based digital infrastructure specialist
  • Growth equity raise of A$370m for largest remote energy platform asset of leading Australian infrastructure manager using secondary market transaction technology
  • Co-investment syndication and primary capital raising in Australia totalling over €1.2 billion for a European infrastructure fund manager as part of an Australian-only distribution mandate
  • Advising Manulife Investment Management on Manulife Infrastructure Fund III – a $5.5 billion diversified North American middle market fund
  • Advising a global asset manager on a $1.5 billion single-asset continuation vehicle in transport

Now in their seventh year, the IJGlobal Investor Awards celebrate achievements in fundraising and deployment as well as M&A across the energy and infrastructure asset classes. The peer-reviewed programme is highly valued in the sector for its transparent process and carefully selected independent judging panel.
